Should you consider a professionally designed business card? If first impressions are considered lasting, then as a business owner, you better hope that lasting impression is a good one. Many times the very first interaction between business owner and client, or even business owner and business owner, is the exchange of a business card. What do you think the odds are that a potential client calls you if your business card is a budget card? Probably low. Yes, the point of a business card is to convey important information and make it readily available for a client to find if needed, but thats assuming the client: A. Saves the business card, B. Decides to look at it a second time. Now consider this. Instead of printing your business cards at home on paper you purchase from your local office supply store with a layout in Microsoft Word, talk to a professional designer about creating you a piece of art – that will undoubtedly draw the attention of your potential client, and will help your chances of getting a call, or even, a referral. If one realizes that time, effort, and most importantly thought was put into your business card, imagine the message it conveys about your business. If you business card looks like this, I’d be willing to bet that your business card is used more to start small kindling fires opposed to a piece a marketing material.
